SIE is looking for a skilled and experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader to lead bridge and sign structure inspection projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads project, inspection teams and coordinates teams and equipment
  • Prepare in-office support for field inspections, such as development of inspection documentation forms prior to field work
  • Perform field inspection duties and subsequent inspection reports in compliance with Client Requirements
  • Client field liaison for field activities
  • Enforce safe field operations
  • Provides technical guidance to other staff members
  • Travel to required project location(s)

Qualification & Skills: 
  • Active New York and New Jersey PE License required
  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
  • At least 4 years of recent bridge experience in inspection as a Team Leader
  • Current FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Training (2 Week Bridge Safety Training, NHI-130055) and/or Refresher Course (NHI-130053)
  • Current FHWA/NHI Ancillary Structures Training (NHI-130087)
  • OSHA 30
  • Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the position. Must be comfortable working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and various aerial lifts and access equipment
  • Familiarity with NYSDOT, TBTA, PANYNJ, NYCT, MNR, LIRR, and other NY and NJ agencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Microstation/AutoCAD skills
  • Driver's License
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Expected salary range is $125,000 - $175,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
