SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection and lighting design. We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector.

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in the Manhattan office. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and analysis of various infrastructure projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in developing plans, specifications, and estimates pertaining to transportation projects.
Conduct analyses and develop design solutions for structural components.
Perform detailed checks of the design work being performed by other team members.
Participate in field site visits to gather information and measurements.
Utilize CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) to assist with contract drawing preparation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
2+ years of structural analysis and design experience, or a master's degree with relevant coursework
Academic or professional experience covering design of bridge structures
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Licenses/Certifications:

Engineer in Training (EIT) or willingness and ability to acquire one within 6 months of hire.

Range:
Expected salary range is $78,000 - $98,800 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
